South Georgia: a landscape from rock, ice and sea

South Georgia: a landscape from rock, ice and sea

This new guidecard describes and illustrates the processes at work on the landscape of South Georgia. This remote island is extensively glaciated and classic glacial and periglacial landforms are the result. The card explains these landforms through photographs and clear, straightforward text, and is a companion publication to South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, which describes the geological evolution of the island group.

The card is published by BGS in conjunction with the British Antarctic Survey and the Government of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.
